Play: computer keys A–; (white) and W E T Y U O P (black), Z/X octave, C/V velocity. Click or touch the keyboard (lower on a key = louder); drag the tab on its top edge to make the keys taller or shorter, Key size for more or fewer keys, Hide keys to fold it down to its controls. Or plug in a MIDI controller (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) — each track listens on its MIDI channel. Studio: Space play/stop, R record, M metronome, Home to start, Ctrl/⌘ Z undo. Keys go by position, so any layout works: if R, M or Q is a note key on yours, use the key where it sits on a US keyboard. Controls: drag up/down, Shift-drag for fine, scroll wheel, double-click to reset. App: the full-screen button (in the header, where the browser has one) hides the browser’s bars; Install app (on iPad / iPhone: Share → Add to Home Screen) puts SYNTH on your home screen or dock — it then opens full screen like an app and works offline after its first launch. On iPad the installed app is the better full screen: the browser’s keeps its own controls and may stop fast playing with a warning. On iPad and iPhone the installed app keeps its own projects, separate from the browser’s: Save a project in one (the app saves through the share sheet: Save to Files) and Open it in the other to move it across.
